We love to support local artists, and the local economy, and this place was a true find! Nicole, the owner, is friendly, personable and a true joy, and knows her artists well. We had a wonderful time in the store, getting to know Nicole (who is an artist herself), and Rascal, her sweet dog! We made multiple purchases while there, would highly recommend a visit if you enjoy local art. A future visit is in order if we're in the area! "Allie Cat Arts is a gallery in Cooper Young that features art by local Memphians. I found it one Sunday afternoon and spent over an hour chatting with the owner Nicole, an artist herself. I bought several necklaces, a scarf, and a bag for my family as Christmas presents and they loved everything. Would definitely recommend for unique gifts." - Daniela C.

 

"I just love Allie Cats!! Absolutely the best place in Memphis to find quality, yet affordable fine art and gifts! They have a large variety of items- pottery, paintings, jewelry, even funky clothes and natural soaps. Plus, evertyhing is handmade in Memphis! I always find the most perfect gifts there and have also purchased many pieces for my home. They have a lot of gift items for $5-$20 and even many of the paintings/larger items are under $300, although they do have some really big pieces too if that's what you're looking for. "What a pretty art shop! I can't believe that I am the first to review it! They have tons of pieces from local artists and everything is reasonably priced (and of course, beautiful). I completely fell in love with two antique radios they have but they were $1,500 (a completely fair price)...just out of my price range. Well, I say that, but I've been daydreaming about once since I left so I may just have to bite the bullet and pinch pennies for the rest of the month. If you're looking for something to add spice to your house, definitely start here. I love that so many of the paintings were Memphis landscapes or themes. It is so cute!
